Last but
certainly not least, during my time in Cape Town I visited Cape Point and as
well as Boulder’s Beach. Commonly misunderstood as the southernmost point of
Africa, Cape Point is a beautiful wildlife park not far from Cape Town which
features a lovely lighthouse as well as animals like wild ostriches. The views
on the climb up to and once you reach the lighthouse are truly spectacular and
I’m not sure my pictures do it justice.
Also not far
from Cape Town is a place called Boulder’s Beach. Sometime during the 1980s, 2
African Penguins (otherwise known as Jackass Penguins) arrived at Boulder’s
Beach and decided to make it their new home. The penguins evidently had a
liking not only to the location but also to each other and twenty plus years
later, there is a thriving penguin colony. The residents of Boulder’s Beach
have preserved the penguins’ habitat by making the area into a wildlife park
and building boardwalks along the beach so tourists like me can gawk while the penguins’
homes remain intact.

a lover of penguins, you should stop now reading now. Disgustingly cute
